Frequently Asked Questions
What are your last order dates for Christmas?
Pay for an order by 16/12/10 to guarantee Christmas delivery. If you're ordering after that, express delivery might be available if all of your products are in stock, so please phone to enquire.
I'm not sure if my order has processed correctly, how do I check?
If your order has processed correctly, you will recieve an e-mail form the Spanish Food Company confirming your order and you will also get an e-mail for PayPal confirming your payment. Once you have returned from PayPal you need to ensure you click the "Make Payment" button on the "Transaction Results" page.
If you don't receive either of these e-mails then your order has not been processed and no payment has been taken.
Why doesn't PayPal show the correct delivery address?
In occassional circumstances the delivery address doesn't display correctly in PayPal during the checkout process. It will show your billing address instead of the shipping address you specified. Don't worry, the address will always be correct in our ordering system and as soon as you complete the transaction you will receive an e-mail from us confirming the order and delivery details.
If you have any questions during the order process, please e-mail at info@tsfc.co.uk or call 01273 623 335 and we'll be happy to help.
Am I able to order your gift hampers in person anywhere?
Yes, you can place an order by coming to visit us here in Brighton. If you want to collect your hamper then you can avoid paying the p&p. See the contact us section to find out more about how to find us.
Where do you deliver to?
Our courier service delivers anywhere in the UK. We charge £8 P&P for any of our hampers. If you're having a significant number of hampers sent to one location, we can adjust the delivery charge. There's a supplement to the delivery charge for Northern Ireland and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. We are currently unable to deliver outside the EU.
Your chorizo and salchichons are huge! This is great but I have to ask - how long do they keep?
Even once they have been opened, they are fine for at least six months. Just fold over their plastic packaging and keep in the fridge.
How long will the products in my hamper last?
Everything should come with a shelf life of at least three months. Most a lot longer. The cured meat will keep for 12 months in the right conditions. Our cheese is all vac-packed and will usually last for a good 6 months unopened. The jars are good for at least 12 months. Rest assured, if you order a Christmas hamper it will still be good to eat well into the New Year.
Is your packaging eco-friendly?
Yes. Our hampers are made of recyclable cardboard and instead of polystyrene we use authentic wood wool shavings for packing.
Will adverse weather affect delivery times?
Things may take a little longer due to the fact that our couriers are going to be a slower because of the bad driving conditions. If there is going to be a major delay with your order then we will let you know.
What's the best way to compare your pricing to other sites?
In terms of apples to apples, it's best to check the weight of our cheeses, chorizos, oils, etc in comparison with others, especially in the case of gift hampers where others will often use sample sizes or a box which appears to hold more product than it actually does. Our items are generally more affordable than other Spanish product sites because we import everything directly from the producer here to our warehouse in the UK. In terms of the products themselves, we have exclusivity on all of our key products, so if you like our smoked chorizo, artisan cheeses, etc please be aware that you can only buy these through us.
