Santa Marta extra virgin olive oil

There isn’t much out there that isn’t improved with a dash of good olive oil. Pour it onto salads, pasta, use it on bread instead of butter or margarine. Do not cook with extra virgin olive oil, there is no point, it loses its flavour and health giving properties at about 80c. Put it on afterwards.
For a simple, delicious treat, make pan tumaca. Take a piece of bread. Get a good, ripe tomato half. Rub and squeeze it onto the bread. Then take a peeled clove of garlic and rub that around. Sprinkle of salt. Pour on some olive oil. Eat.
